Fiorentina Faces Real Betis in Conference League Semifinal Showdown

SEVILLA, Spain – May 1, 2025 – Fiorentina is set to compete against Real Betis in the second leg of their UEFA Conference League semifinal tonight at 21:00 CET (20:00 BST) at the Benito Villamarín Stadium. The Italian side aims for another shot at the final after consecutive losses in the last two years.
Moise Kean is expected to return to Fiorentina’s starting eleven, partnering Albert Gudmundsson in the attack. Kean had missed the previous two Serie A matches due to personal issues but trained earlier this week and is eager to play, according to head coach Raffaele Palladino.
“Kean returned yesterday, he trained, I talked to him, he is calm and fired up to play,” Palladino said. “We have a very important game tomorrow. The squad is doing well, and we are highly motivated.”
However, Fiorentina will be without Dodo, who is recovering from surgery. Meanwhile, Pablo Mari and Cher Ndour did not make the UEFA roster. Andrea Colpani, who recently recovered from an injury, will start on the bench.
For Real Betis, forward Cédric Bakambu has returned from injury and will lead the attack. The team, managed by Manuel Pellegrini, boasts a strong lineup featuring Isco, Antony, and Natan. They hope to capitalize on their home advantage, having recently been undefeated in their past three matches.
The match will be broadcast live in the UK on TNT Sports 5 and is also available for streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S. This semifinal match represents a key opportunity for both teams to make their mark in European football.
The winners of this semifinal will face off in the final on May 8 at Stadio Artemio Franchi, with Fiorentina aiming to overcome their previous defeats in the competition.
