Tristen Keys Lsu Commitment Football Recruiting

Hattiesburg, Miss. — Tristen Keys, a five-star wide receiver from Hattiesburg, continues to attract significant attention from college football programs despite verbally committing to the LSU Tigers in March. The nation’s top-rated wideout chose LSU over other prestigious programs, including Auburn, Texas A&M, Tennessee, and Alabama.

Keys had an impressive junior campaign for Hattiesburg High School, leading his team to a 13-1 record. In 2024, he recorded 58 receptions for 1,275 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns, solidifying his reputation as a coveted prospect.

Despite his commitment to LSU, Keys has been exploring his options by visiting other schools. In the past three weekends, he has checked out Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and most recently, Auburn. His visit to Auburn included a multi-day stay where he engaged in activities such as watching the Tigers scrimmage and participating in the Big Cat event, which featured food trucks and music.

“I think it’s important to weigh all my options and see what fits me best,” Keys said. “While I committed to LSU, I need to ensure I find the right place for my future.”

As of now, LSU has a strong wide receiver class with three players committed alongside Keys, including Jabari Mack, a four-star receiver from Destrehan, Louisiana. Mack, ranked as the No. 1 wideout in Louisiana, chose LSU for its close-knit environment and the opportunity to play in front of family and friends.

“A big part of it for LSU is that stay-home mentality,” Mack told On3 Sports. “I like the environment, and it feels crazy on game day. My family would get the chance to see me play, and I’m already building a brotherhood with the guys at LSU.”

Kenny Darby, another four-star wide receiver who logged 100 receptions for 1,764 yards and 24 touchdowns, is also a commit to LSU. He is a highly regarded player in Louisiana, rated as the No. 7 prospect in the state.

Another standout, Jakai Anderson, earned 4A All-State honors after a remarkable junior season, contributing with both receptions and rushing touchdowns. He is considered a versatile player, ranked as the No. 8 overall player in Louisiana and a Top-200 prospect in the nation.

With the recruiting season heating up, LSU faces competition from other schools eager to flip its top recruits. Keys and his fellow prospects are expected to continue evaluating their options as they prepare for their senior season, making this a critical time in the recruiting process.
