Flamengo Vs Ldu Injury News

QUITO, Ecuador — Flamengo‘s Gonzalo Plata will not play in today’s match against LDU in the Conmebol Libertadores due to a knee injury. The match is set for 7 p.m. (Brasília time) at Estadio Casa Blanca.

The news broke after Flamengo announced that Plata felt pain in his left knee during training on Monday and could not finish the session. Coach Filipe Luís will replace him with Juninho, who has not played in the last two matches.

In the starting lineup for Flamengo, the team features Rossi, Wesley, Léo Ortiz, Danilo, and Ayrton Lucas in defense. The midfield includes Pulgar, Evertton Araújo, and Arrascaeta, while Gerson, Bruno Henrique, and Juninho will spearhead the attack.

This match is crucial for Flamengo as they currently sit in third place in Group C with three points. A victory today could help them take the top position in the group.

<p"Plata will be reevaluated upon the team's return to Rio de Janeiro on April 23," Flamengo reported. His absence adds to the team's challenges, as they must also cope with the high altitude of Quito, which stands at 2,850 meters above sea level.
