Florida Atlantic Owls Vs Temple Owls Football Game

The Florida Atlantic Owls are set to take on the Temple Owls in a significant American Athletic Conference (AAC) matchup on Saturday, November 16. The game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a kickoff time of 2 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+.

This will be the first meeting between the two schools, both of which share the Owls as their mascot. The game also marks a reunion between Florida Atlantic head coach Tom Herman and Temple head coach Stan Drayton, who previously worked together at Texas and Ohio State. During their time at Texas, the duo helped the Longhorns win four consecutive postseason games.

Florida Atlantic enters the game with a 2-7 record, having struggled defensively this season. The Owls’ defense has been one of the bottom-25 units in total defense, allowing 428.8 total yards per game. However, they have shown some resilience on offense, averaging 370.1 total yards per contest and 22.9 points per game.

Temple, also with a 2-7 record, has faced similar challenges. The Owls rank ninth-worst in total offense with 302.6 yards per game and have been particularly poor in the running game, both offensively and defensively. Temple’s defense has allowed 416.3 yards per game, while their offense has managed only 92.9 rushing yards per game.

The game is crucial for both teams as they look to improve their standings in the AAC. With the season nearing its end, every win counts, especially for teams aiming to turn around their current trajectories.
