Florida State College Baseball Rankings

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State University is the new No. 1 team in the latest college baseball Power 10 rankings released on Monday, following an impressive weekend series win against Cal. The Seminoles, who have been contenders for the top spot for some time, showcased their skill as they secured two out of three games in the series. This victory allowed them to surpass previous leaders LSU and Texas in the rankings.

LSU, which recently won two out of three games against Arkansas, now holds the No. 2 position in the rankings. The Tigers recorded a dominant 13-3 victory, largely thanks to Jake Brown’s two home runs.

Texas dropped to No. 3 after they lost a crucial series against Florida. This marks the Longhorns’ second consecutive SEC series loss, which has raised concerns about their momentum heading into the postseason.

Meanwhile, North Carolina remains steady at No. 4 after splitting their series with NC State, while Auburn‘s sweep of South Carolina has boosted them to No. 5 in the rankings. The Tigers scored an impressive 24 runs in Game 1 of their series.

The rankings also saw Oregon moving up to No. 6 after sweeping Washington, while Arkansas fell to No. 7 following their up-and-down performance against LSU. Oregon State and Vanderbilt round out the rankings at No. 8 and No. 9, respectively.

Lastly, Georgia, which briefly claimed the No. 1 spot, plummeted to No. 10 after losing their series to Alabama.

As the regular season nears its end, the upcoming matchups will be vital for all ranked teams as they prepare for conference tournaments and the NCAA Tournament.
