Florida State Softball Set for Senior Weekend Series Against Georgia Tech

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — No. 8 Florida State University (FSU) softball prepares to conclude its regular season home schedule with a pivotal three-game series against Georgia Tech this weekend, starting Friday at 6 p.m.

The Seminoles, holding a 40-6 overall record and an impressive 14-1 mark in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play, look to solidify their position atop the conference standings, currently tied with Virginia Tech. The series will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra for Friday’s game, the ACC Network for Saturday’s contest at 7 p.m., and ESPNU for Sunday’s matchup at noon.

Florida State is enjoying a strong home season with an 18-3 record at the Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium. In comparison, Georgia Tech enters the series with a 26-17 overall record, including a 10-8 conference record and a .500 mark in true road games (6-6).

The Yellow Jackets have notably achieved ranked victories against Stanford, Auburn, and Oklahoma State this season, showcasing their competitive edge.

In the all-time series, FSU leads Georgia Tech 71-26, having won the last 25 encounters between the two teams.

This weekend also marks Senior Weekend for the Seminoles, who will honor nine senior players: Julia Apsel, Katie Dack, Michaela Edenfield, Krystina Hartley, Jahni Kerr, Annie Potter, Amaya Ross, Hallie Wacaser, and Annabelle Widra. A Senior Day ceremony will take place on Sunday at approximately 11:40 a.m., ahead of the final game.
