North Melbourne‘s VFL side faced a rain-soaked battle against the Footscray Bulldogs at Arden Street Oval, resulting in a 34-point loss for the Kangaroos.

The match initially saw a tight contest, with North Melbourne holding a seven-point lead at halftime. However, the Footscray Bulldogs demonstrated their prowess post-quarter time under the slippery conditions, asserting themselves as a formidable premiership contender.

Colby McKercher, in his second game back from a bone stress issue, showcased an impressive performance with 26 disposals, two goals, and four rebound 50s, making an impact from the half-back line.

Charlie Lazzaro, with 25 disposals, 10 tackles, and 12 clearances, excelled in the midfield alongside Hugh Greenwood, who amassed 11 clearances from 22 disposals.

Defender Griffin Logue, in his second match post-return from an ACL injury, contributed significantly with nine disposals and seven intercepts, playing across all four quarters of the game.
