Forge FC Signs Goalkeeper Koleilat and Midfielder Bruno for Concacaf Champions Cup
Forge FC has made two important signings ahead of their Concacaf Champions Cup campaign. The Canadian Premier League club has added goalkeeper Jaseem Koleilat and midfielder Zayne Bruno to their roster.
Koleilat, a 24-year-old Lebanese-Canadian, joins Forge FC from LAFC 2. He previously had a successful stint with the University of New Hampshire, making 41 starts. Koleilat has also represented AC Sparta Praha’s youth academy in Prague and Stade Lavallois in France. His signing provides additional goalkeeper options for the team alongside Kalongo.
Bruno, a 17-year-old midfielder from Brampton, Ontario, comes from the highly regarded Sigma FC. He has already made three senior appearances for Sigma, mostly featuring for the club’s U-19 team. Standing at six feet tall, Bruno brings youthful talent to the team.
Forge FC is set to face Chivas Guadalajara in their first Concacaf Champions Cup match at Tim Hortons Field. The match promises to be an exciting contest, and both Koleilat and Bruno will be available for selection. The club has high hopes for a successful campaign in the tournament.
Forge FC’s roster for the tournament also includes young goalkeeper Dino Bontis. However, it is expected that Koleilat and Kalongo will be the primary goalkeeper options under the guidance of coach Bobby Smyrniotis.
The match against Chivas Guadalajara will take place at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT and can be watched live on OneSoccer. Fans can also purchase tickets to watch the action at Tim Hortons Field.
