Four-Star Offensive Tackle Dunn Decommits from Utah, Joins USC
On Thursday morning, four-star offensive tackle from Utah, who was considered the jewel of Utah’s 2025 recruiting class, announced his decision to decommit from the program. The announcement was made via his Twitter account, marking a significant setback for Utah’s recruiting efforts, especially since he was their highest-rated in-state commit and top-rated offensive line recruit.
Following Dunn’s decommitment, it has been reported by On3‘s Hayes Fawcett that he has committed to the University of Southern California (USC) instead. Dunn had initially pledged to Utah on August 8 but took several official visits after that date, including a visit to Southern Cal on May 31, followed by visits to Utah and Oregon.
“I saw everything that I need to reach my goals,” Dunn expressed after his official visit to USC in June. “The program is heading in a good direction and I would love to be a part of it.”
Dunn’s father, Greg, also praised USC’s head coach Lincoln Riley and offensive line coach Josh Henson. “You got a lot of sunshine,” remarked Greg Dunn, highlighting Los Angeles as a desirable location. “Lincoln Riley is a younger coach, and in the last decade, he’s coached three Heisman Trophy winners. You have to have a good offensive line protecting that quarterback. Josh Henson is an awesome o-line coach and a really, really good guy. The whole coaching staff at USC is amazing, and the campus is out of a movie.”
Dunn stands at 6-foot-7.5 and weighs 288 pounds. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 223 overall prospect in the 2025 cycle, according to composite rankings that utilize all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 18 offensive tackle in the class and the second-best recruit from Utah.
