French Open Tennis Tournament Paris 2025

PARIS, France – The French Open is set to begin on May 25, 2025, featuring top ATP and WTA stars. Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz enters the tournament as the first seed and will face Arthur Rinderknech in the opening round.

Alcaraz’s main rival, second seed Jannik Sinner, has also been in excellent form, following impressive performances at the Italian Open. Tennis legend Andy Roddick made predictions about the tournament on the Served Podcast, suggesting a final matchup between Sinner and Alcaraz.

“I have a Sinner vs Alcaraz final. Alcaraz wins,” Roddick stated during the interview with sports journalist John Wertheim.

Wertheim added, “I think that Rome final looms large. These guys have won each of the last five majors, but they have never played each other, so this would be their first major final.”

Roddick also reflected on Sinner’s near victory at Roland Garros last year, highlighting his impressive performance against Alexander Zverev in the final.

“People forget how close Jannik Sinner was to winning Roland Garros last year,” Roddick noted. “He had Zverev in the final and was two sets to one up, and Carlos was hanging on in that fourth set.”

Sinner showcased his clay-court skills last year, advancing to the semi-finals with ease, defeating players along the way while dropping just one set. Though he lost to Alcaraz in the semi-finals, he gave a strong performance, winning the first set before ultimately being defeated in a hard-fought match.

The anticipation is high as fans eagerly await another thrilling chapter in this budding rivalry at the 2025 French Open.
