French Stars Olise and Mateta Selected for Paris Olympics by Thierry Henry
France‘s football legends Michael Olise and Jean-Philippe Mateta continue to shine on the international stage as they gear up for the Paris Olympic Games under the guidance of iconic coach Thierry Henry.
The duo, who impressed in the Premier League with Crystal Palace, have earned spots in Henry’s preliminary squad for the upcoming tournament, with the final 22-player roster set to be finalized on the 3rd of July.

Mateta, who netted an impressive 18 goals for Palace, including a remarkable nine in his last seven appearances, has been praised by Henry for his traditional striker attributes. The former France striker highlighted Mateta’s ability to play direct, hold up the ball effectively, and put pressure on opposing defenders with his physicality and heading prowess.
