Jonah Gadjovich Florida Panthers Stanley Cup Final

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Jonah Gadjovich is experiencing a thrilling Stanley Cup Final with the Florida Panthers this year, a stark contrast to his fate last season as a healthy scratch. The 26-year-old winger joined the “NHL @TheRink” podcast to discuss the Panthers’ playoff journey, including their battles against the Edmonton Oilers and his personal growth as a player.

Gadjovich, who was sidelined for the entirety of last year’s playoffs, has stepped up significantly this postseason. After initially being a healthy scratch in the early rounds, he made his playoff debut in Game 3 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, scoring a goal in the Panthers’ 5-4 overtime victory. As the Panthers prepare for Game 3 of the Final, currently tied at 1-1, Gadjovich reflects on his journey and the lighter moments shared with teammates.

“I’ve been just having fun with it,” Gadjovich said. “There’s obviously a lot of stresses, but I’m just trying to enjoy what I’m doing.” The conversations on the podcast also included discussions about the team’s solid defensive strategies and the impactful performances from goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, helping the Panthers to a 2-0 series lead.

Co-hosts Dan Rosen and Shawn P. Roarke not only covered the Stanley Cup Final matches but also touched on significant coaching changes within the league. Pete DeBoer was recently dismissed from his position with the Dallas Stars, and Marco Sturm was hired by the Boston Bruins, while Dan Muse took the reins in Pittsburgh.

Amidst this coaching carousel, Gadjovich emphasized the teamwork and growing chemistry within the Panthers’ lineup. “We just try to execute the game plan,” he mentioned regarding their approach going into Game 3 at Amerant Bank Arena.

As Gadjovich enjoys these pivotal moments with the Panthers, his family is also part of the journey. He shared how his twin daughters, Lion and Adalee, are part of his motivation, smiling as they watched from the stands during practice. “It’s incredible to see them here,” he said, recalling how they made their memorable appearance during the last Stanley Cup celebration.
