Galatasaray Offer Half the Asking Price for Daichi Kamada
Galatasaray‘s negotiations for the transfer of midfielder Daichi Kamada seem to have hit a roadblock as the Turkish side has only offered half of the €10m asking price set by Kamada’s current club, Lazio. According to reports from Calciomercato.it, Galatasaray’s proposal currently stands at €5m, falling short of Lazio’s demands.
If the two clubs fail to bridge this significant gap, Galatasaray may divert their attention to alternative targets, such as former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen. The Danish player is currently contracted with the English club and could be a viable option should the negotiations with Kamada reach a stalemate.
Daichi Kamada, a Japanese international, joined Lazio as a free agent last summer after his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt expired. Despite attracting interest from various clubs including Milan, Inter, and Juventus, Kamada chose Lazio as his next destination.
However, Kamada hasn’t been able to make a significant impact at the Stadio Olimpico under the guidance of coach Maurizio Sarri. With limited opportunities, the 27-year-old midfielder primarily featured as a substitute and made only 22 competitive appearances this season. During his time on the field, Kamada managed to contribute one goal and one assist, both in Serie A matches.
