Gary Goldsmith, the uncle of the Duchess of Cambridge, is set to make an appearance on the upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother, adding royal connections to the reality show.

The 58-year-old businessman, sibling to Carole Middleton, mother of Kate Middleton, was seen arriving at ITV studios and is reportedly sponsored in a London hotel ahead of the program’s debut tonight.

This news comes as the Duchess of Cambridge is continuing her recovery from recent surgery, with a Palace statement confirming her progress.

Known for his IT and recruitment ventures, Goldsmith previously made headlines for legal troubles, including a court case in 2017 for an assault on his wife, Julie-Ann Goldsmith.

Celebrity Big Brother, originally known for its Channel 4 and Channel 5 iterations, is set for a revival on ITV, with Banijay producing the show following a deal with the network. The program is scheduled to kick off with its live episode at 9pm, hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.
