Free agent guard Gary Trent Jr. is set to reunite with his former teammate Damian Lillard, as he agrees to a one-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, per ESPN‘s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Trent Jr., a 25-year-old guard, recently averaged 13.7 points and 1.7 assists over 71 games with the Toronto Raptors. He becomes a key addition to the Bucks’ roster, known for his scoring prowess and court presence.

The signing comes as Trent Jr. emerged as a top free-agent prospect, drawing significant interest from multiple teams in the league. His career averages of 14.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists showcase his versatility and impact on the court.

Originally starting his NBA journey with the Portland Trail Blazers after being selected in the 2018 NBA Draft, Trent Jr. brings valuable experience to the Bucks’ backcourt. His tenure with the Raptors saw him develop into a reliable scorer and contributor on both ends of the floor.

In Milwaukee, Trent Jr. will not only reunite with Lillard but also fill the scoring gap left by Malik Beasley, who recently departed to join the Detroit Pistons. The Bucks aim to leverage Trent Jr.’s offensive capabilities to strengthen their title contention prospects for the upcoming season.
