Athens, Georgia – The Georgia Bulldogs received encouraging news regarding their injury report on Thursday. Tight end Lawson Luckie and defensive tackle Jordan Hall are no longer on the availability list after being classified as probable on Wednesday.

Georgia’s injury report remains significant, with wide receivers Colbie Young and Talyn Taylor, tight end Ethan Barbour, defensive tackle Jordan Hall, and defensive back Kyron Jones listed as out for the game against the Texas Longhorns.

Head coach Kirby Smart provided an update on Luckie and cornerback Demello Jones, both practicing well this week. “Both those guys are practicing, doing well,” Smart said. Luckie was sidelined briefly after a hard hit during Georgia’s recent game against Mississippi State but has now cleared the concussion protocol.

Luckie has made his mark this season with 10 receptions for 81 yards and three touchdowns. His return against Texas is seen as a significant boost for Georgia, which seeks a win to strengthen its College Football Playoff bid.

On the other hand, Texas reported no injuries on its availability list—an unusual situation this season. Defensive back Michael Taaffe is set to return after missing two games with a broken thumb, adding depth to Texas’ defense just as they enter the final stretch of their schedule.

Both teams face challenges, with Georgia planning to play in front of a home crowd amid predicted low temperatures and strong winds. The matchup promises to be competitive, with Georgia aiming for its third consecutive win over Texas and Texas hoping to maintain its playoff aspirations.

Coach Smart remains optimistic about Luckie’s performance, noting his potential impact on both blocking and passing plays. As Georgia gets ready for the game, the return of key players could significantly influence the outcome.

The Bulldogs and Longhorns will clash on Saturday, with kickoff set for the evening. This game could determine not only a win for Georgia but also affect Texas’s chances to stay in the playoff race.
