Giants Consider Coaching Shake-Up Amid Offensive Struggles

New York Giants Coaching Staff 2025

The New York Giants are facing a pivotal offseason as they weigh potential changes to their coaching staff and front office following a disappointing 2024 campaign. Head coach Brian Daboll, who led the team to a 3-14 record this season, could retain his position for 2025, but offensive coordinator Mike Kafka may be on the chopping block. Sources indicate that Daboll may reclaim play-calling duties, a role he initially handed to Kafka in 2022.

Daboll’s tenure with the Giants has been marked by inconsistency, particularly on offense. The team struggled with quarterback Daniel Jones, who was benched and later waived this season, leaving a void at the position. The Giants are expected to target a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft, though their draft position has slipped to fourth overall after a Week 17 loss.

Kafka, 37, joined the Giants after a successful stint with the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite earning head coaching interviews in previous years, his future in New York is uncertain.
