Mark Stone Golden Knights Game

LAS VEGAS, NV — Golden Knights captain Mark Stone will return to the lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators after recovering from a wrist injury. Stone had been sidelined since sustaining the injury on October 18 against the Calgary Flames.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy emphasized the importance of Stone’s return. “It’s good to have his energy back,” Cassidy said. “He’s good on the bench. He’s a leader. It’s just nice to have him back. He makes our team better.” Stone recorded 13 points in his first six games before getting hurt.

Stone participated in morning skate and is eager to suit up against his former team. “Everything’s healed. I got the practices I needed. I’m ready to go,” Stone said.

Initially, Stone will play on the third line with Brett Howden and Mitch Marner, who will shift to left wing. Braeden Bowman will remain on the top line with Jack Eichel and Ivan Barbashev. Kelsey McCarron, Golden Knights’ power play, has struggled in Stone’s absence, going 3-for-34 but showing recent improvement with 6-for-19 in the last six games.

The Golden Knights look to build momentum after a disappointing 5-1 loss to the Utah Mammoth. This matchup against the Senators marks an opportunity to utilize Stone’s influence on the ice, especially with the team’s power play, which thrived at the start of the season when Stone was healthy.

The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. PT at the T-Mobile Arena. Fans are hoping to see an energetic performance from Stone as he faces the Senators for the seventh time in his career.
