Golden Knights Face Flames in Crucial Pacific Division Clash

CALGARY, Canada — The Vegas Golden Knights (1-0-2) will face the Calgary Flames (1-2-0) at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday at 6 p.m. PT. The game marks their fourth Pacific Division matchup of the season.
The Golden Knights are coming off a weekend overtime loss to the Seattle Kraken, where they fell, 2-1. Pavel Dorofeyev scored the only goal for Vegas and leads the team with five goals in the first three games. He also has seven total points, which is the highest by any player through the first three contests since the 2021-22 season.
Jack Eichel and Mark Stone are tied for the league lead in assists with five each. The Golden Knights have yet to score the first goal in any game this season and Head Coach Bruce Cassidy emphasized the importance of a strong start against the Flames.
This season’s series with Calgary has yielded mixed results, with the Golden Knights maintaining a 3-0-1 record in their previous matchups last season. Their last meeting saw the Flames narrowly take a 5-4 victory in a shootout on April 15, 2025. Vegas will be looking to improve their all-time record against Calgary, which stands at 16-8-2.
The Golden Knights have the opportunity to secure their 363rd win in franchise history with a win on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Flames are hoping to bounce back after recent defeats, including a 4-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues.
“Getting the first goal will be crucial,” Cassidy said. “It’s time to capitalize on our opportunities and play with a lead.”
The game will be broadcast on Scripps Sports and available for streaming on FOX Sports Las Vegas.
