Vegas Golden Knights Vs New Jersey Devils Ice Hockey Highlights

LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Golden Knights faced off against the New Jersey Devils at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday night, marking their last meeting of the season. The Golden Knights entered the game with a strong home record of 21-6-3, looking to build on their recent form after a victory over the Devils in their earlier matchup this season.

In a game that featured both teams struggling to score, the Knights emerged victorious with a 2-0 shutout. Goalkeeper Adin Hill played a pivotal role, securing his 10th career shutout and fifth as a Golden Knight, thus surpassing Logan Thompson for second-most shutouts in franchise history.

The first period concluded scoreless, with both teams failing to capitalize on their scoring opportunities. Adin Hill made 16 saves in the first two periods as the teams remained tied through 40 minutes of play.

As the third period began, the action intensified. At 1:12, New Jersey incurred a penalty, giving Vegas a chance to capitalize on the man advantage. They did not squander it; just 15 seconds into the power play, Mark Stone tipped a shot from Noah Hanifin into the net, putting the Knights ahead 1-0.

Shortly after, at 9:10, another power play opportunity arose for the Knights. Hanifin again found the back of the net with a shot from the blue line, extending the lead to 2-0. Hill’s performance ensured that the scoreline remained unchanged, leading to the Golden Knights’ win.

Head Coach Bruce Cassidy commented on the team’s performance, calling for a “spring cleaning” approach as they aim for an improved final stretch of the season. The Golden Knights have shown offensive prowess lately, registering five goals in each of their last two games.

This matchup also highlighted milestones for two players: Brayden McNabb played in his 800th career game, setting a franchise record for the most games played at 561, while Zach Whitecloud participated in his 300th career game.

The Golden Knights now hold a commanding position at the top of the Pacific Division with 76 points, led by Jack Eichel, who has accumulated 70 points (19 goals, 51 assists) this season. Mark Stone follows with 50 points and Shea Theodore with 48 points.

Meanwhile, the Devils currently stand at third place in the Metropolitan Division with 27 points. They are 2-1-0 in their current five-game road trip, coming off a win against the Utah Hockey Club.

Coverage of the game began at 4:30 p.m. PST, with puck drop scheduled for 5 p.m. Following the game, youth hockey players were invited to step onto the ice at T-Mobile Arena to participate in shooting activities, providing an opportunity for local talent to interact with the sport.

The game was broadcasted on the Vegas 34 network, available via various providers and streaming platforms.
