Golden State Warriors Maintain Strong Standings in NBA and NBA Cup
The Golden State Warriors are off to a stellar start in the 2024-25 NBA season, currently sitting at the top of their division and conference. With a record of 8-2, they are tied for the best win-loss percentage in the Western Conference, alongside the Phoenix Suns, at .857.
In the NBA Cup, the Warriors are part of West Group C, where they will compete against the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, New Orleans Pelicans, and Denver Nuggets. The group-stage games, which count towards both the regular season and NBA Cup standings, will continue through December 3. The top team from each group and two wild cards will advance to the quarterfinals, with the semifinals and championship games scheduled for December 14 and 17, respectively, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Recent performances have been impressive, with the Warriors securing victories over the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. Key players such as Stephen Curry, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody have contributed significantly to these wins. Curry scored 16 points against the Lakers, while Kuminga and Moody had standout performances against the Sacramento Kings, scoring 19 and 23 points, respectively.
The Warriors’ strong start indicates a promising season ahead, both in the regular NBA standings and the inaugural NBA Cup tournament.
