Grant Hill Signs Long-Term Contract Extension with TNT

ATLANTA, Ga. — Grant Hill, the Hall of Fame forward and beloved sports commentator, has officially signed a long-term contract extension with TNT, the network announced Thursday morning. This extension underscores Hill’s commitment to college basketball as he continues to serve as a prominent color commentator.
Hill has been a fixture in basketball broadcasting, providing insights for the last eight men’s college basketball national championships, along with regular assignments in the NBA. “College basketball has had such a profound impact on my life, as a student athlete and now as a broadcaster, and I thoroughly enjoy being closely connected to the collegiate game, the student-athletes who compete, and their amazing stories,” Hill said in a statement.
In addition to his commentary work, Hill will expand his role by calling games for the Big 12 and Big East regular-season basketball leagues. These games will begin airing on TNT in 2026, providing fans with more access to top-tier college basketball.
Hill’s journey in basketball started at Duke University, where he played from 1991 to 1994, capturing two national titles and earning All-America honors during his tenure. Following his collegiate success, he enjoyed a stellar 19-year NBA career, making seven All-Star appearances and playing for four different teams.
This contract extension not only solidifies Hill’s position at TNT but also highlights his passion for storytelling and connection to the student-athletes in the collegiate ranks. Hill’s ability to bridge his experiences as a former player with his current role as a broadcaster has made him a respected voice in sports.
His longevity in both athletics and media exemplifies his dedication to the sport and its community, offering a unique perspective that resonates with fans and aspiring athletes alike.
