Gregg Popovich Criticizes Booing Of Jerry Krause At Bulls Ring Of Honor Induction

Legendary San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich has expressed his disappointment over the booing incident that occurred during the induction of the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls team into their first Ring of Honor class. Fans present at the event directed boos at the late Bulls GM Jerry Krause, causing visible distress to Krause’s widowed wife.

Popovich, known for his no-nonsense approach, did not hold back his criticism towards this behavior. He likened it to the incident where former Spurs player Kawhi Leonard was booed upon his return to San Antonio. The seasoned coach stated, ‘It’s unnecessary. It’s impolite. It’s ignorant.’ Popovich emphasized that such actions exemplify a snapshot of the world we live in, where meanness appears more acceptable.
