Griffith Park Run Half Marathon 2025 Participants

Hundreds of runners will gather at Griffith Park on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, for the annual Griffith Park Run Half Marathon and 5K. The event, which benefits the Los Angeles Parks Foundation and city parks, is open to participants of all ages and abilities, including walkers and pet owners.

The half marathon course will take runners through Griffith Park’s scenic trails, offering views of landmarks such as the Old Pony Ride, Merry-Go-Round, Travel Town, L.A. Zoo, and Autry Museum. The 5K route, which is flat and shaded, will loop around the Crystal Springs Picnic Area. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers of the half marathon, and all participants will receive a commemorative medal designed by Los Angeles artist Beatriz Mojarro.

The races will start and finish at the Autry Museum of the American West, located at 4700 Western Heritage Way. The half marathon begins at 7:30 a.m., while the 5K starts at 10 a.m. Registration fees include a raffle, T-shirt, and access to sampling booths.

This event is the first of several runs planned for 2025 to support the Los Angeles Parks Foundation. Other events include the Venice Beach Run on July 19 and the inaugural Cabrillo Beach Run in San Pedro on Oct. 4. Proceeds from these events will help the foundation enhance, expand, and preserve public parks and open spaces in Los Angeles.
