Guardians Face Dodgers in Anticipated Three-Game Series at Progressive Field

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Cleveland Guardians are set to face the Los Angeles Dodgers in a three-game series starting Monday night at Progressive Field. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. EDT.
Fans can watch the games on CLEGuardians.TV, along with radio coverage on WTAM 1100 AM and WARF 1350 AM for Spanish listeners. Monday and Tuesday’s matchups will also air on WMMS 100.7 FM.
The Guardians will send right-handed pitcher Gavin Williams (4-2, 3.94 ERA) to the mound on Monday against the Dodgers’ ace, Yoshinobu Yamamoto (5-3, 1.86 ERA). Tuesday’s game features Tanner Bibee (4-4, 3.57 ERA) versus Dustin May (2-4, 4.09 ERA). The series concludes on Wednesday with Slade Cecconi (1-1, 3.27 ERA) likely facing Clayton Kershaw (0-0, 7.50 ERA).
Last season, the Guardians lost two of three games against the Dodgers, who currently lead their all-time series 12-9.
Cleveland enters the series with a record of 29-23. José Ramírez boasts a .250 average with two home runs and five RBIs against Los Angeles, while Carlos Santana has historically struggled, hitting just .196 with one home run against the team.
Injuries could impact both teams. The Guardians will be without several key players, including RHP Shane Bieber (elbow), RHP Paul Sewald (shoulder), and RHP Ben Lively (flexor tendon). The Dodgers are also dealing with injuries, including pitchers Michael Kopech and Tyler Glasnow, among others.
The Dodgers, currently 32-20, are coming off a mixed series against the New York Mets, having lost two of their last three games but remain a formidable offensive team, boasting top hitters like Will Smith, who leads MLB with a .500 average with runners in scoring position.
As the series begins, both teams will look to establish momentum, with the Guardians hoping for a strong home performance against one of the league’s top teams.
