ERKONTY, Cyprus — Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane scored his 100th goal for the club during a match against Pafos on Monday night, becoming the fastest player in Europe’s top five leagues to reach that milestone.

Kane netted two goals in the 4-1 victory, achieving the landmark in just 104 appearances. His accomplishment surpasses Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland, who both took 105 games to score 100 goals for their respective clubs.

With Pafos leading 2-0, Kane capitalized on a chance that emerged when Luis Díaz entered the area. Whether it was a deliberate pass or a miss hit from Díaz, Kane adjusted and slotted the ball into the net, showcasing his sharp sense of positioning and timing.

Joshua Kimmich praised Kane for his contributions beyond just scoring. “It’s how he helps the team with and without the ball,” Kimmich said, calling him “extraordinary.”

Kane expressed that his experience with Bayern has reshaped his outlook on his career, stating, “Since I’ve been here, I’ve enjoyed it so much.” The England international noted he came to Munich with hopes of continuing to chase the Premier League scoring record but now focuses on contributing to the team’s success in the Champions League.

“I don’t just want to focus on individual things,” Kane added. “I want to keep pushing myself and see how far we can go.” Kane, now 32, is open to discussing a contract extension, which currently runs through 2027.

In parallel, Bayern’s youth academy continues to shine, featuring 17-year-olds Lennart Karl and Wisdom Mike in recent matches. Their performances are critical as the club focuses on developing young talent alongside established stars like Kane.

The match ended in success for Bayern, reaffirming their position as a powerhouse in European football and showcasing that both new and established players are key to their ongoing victories.
