Harry Kane Bayern Munich Training Injury

Munich, GermanyBayern Munich striker Harry Kane missed Monday’s training session due to a facial injury incurred during Saturday’s match against Bayer Leverkusen. His absence comes as Bayern prepares for Tuesday’s crucial UEFA Champions League knockout play-off second leg against Celtic.

Kane, 31, suffered the injury during the 0-0 draw with Leverkusen but managed to complete the full match. Despite missing training, reports suggest that Kane’s participation in the upcoming game is still likely. According to Sport1, the coaching staff is exercising caution with the forward as a precaution after the recent knock.

Bayern coach Vincent Kompany is expected to provide an update on Kane’s condition during a pre-match press conference later today. ‘It is nothing bad,’ Kompany stated. ‘We haven’t had much time for recovery, and sometimes you need an extra rest day. We will see how he feels and make a decision then, but I expect it’s nothing serious.’

In the first leg of their Champions League match against Celtic last week, Kane scored the decisive goal in Bayern’s 2-1 victory at Celtic Park. This season, he has been a standout player for Bayern, netting 29 goals in 30 appearances.

The team faces additional challenges, as key players Joao Palhinha and Alphonso Davies were already absent for the first leg and are not expected to return for the rematch. As a result, the squad depth is under pressure, making Kane’s fitness even more critical for the upcoming match against their Scottish rivals.

Bayern fans will be eagerly awaiting news on Kane’s condition, hoping he can shake off the injury and contribute to another important night in the Champions League.
