MIAMI, Fla. — Miami Heat rookie Kel'el Ware delivered a strong performance in limited minutes during Thursday’s 97-92 victory over the Utah Jazz, tying his season-high in rebounds and showcasing his growing role in the team’s rotation.

Ware, the first-round draft pick, contributed eight points, seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and one steal in just 19 minutes of play. Despite playing fewer than 20 minutes for the third consecutive game, Ware has become a key contributor off the bench, particularly in the absence of star forward Jimmy Butler, who is serving a suspension.

Over his last six appearances, Ware has averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.3 blocks, 1.0 assists, and 0.7 steals per game while shooting an impressive 68.4 percent from the field. His efficiency and defensive presence have provided a much-needed boost for the Heat during Butler’s absence.

“Kel’el has been stepping up when we need him most,” said Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. “His energy and ability to impact the game in limited minutes have been crucial for us.”

Ware’s performance against the Jazz highlighted his versatility, as he made 4 of 5 field goal attempts and played a pivotal role in securing the win. His seven rebounds matched his season-high, demonstrating his ability to contribute on both ends of the floor.

With Butler expected to return soon, Ware’s role may shift, but his recent performances have solidified his place in the Heat’s rotation. The rookie’s development will be critical as Miami looks to maintain its playoff positioning in a competitive Eastern Conference.
