Metro Detroit Weather Forecast March 2025

DETROIT, Mich. — Metro Detroiters can expect high temperatures in the low 50s this week along with a return of scattered showers and gusty winds, according to 4Warn Weather forecasts.

Overnight temperatures are projected to reach the mid-30s, paving the way for a cloudy and breezy Tuesday with highs expected in the upper 40s to low 50s. Meteorologists predict that by Wednesday, rain is likely to become heavier and more widespread as temperatures climb into the upper 50s.

“Winds will also be a significant factor,” warned 4Warn Weather, with gusts potentially reaching advisory criteria. This means residents could experience sustained winds at 20 to 30 miles per hour and gusts exceeding 40 miles per hour.

Thursday morning may bring an interesting twist to weather patterns as any remaining moisture is expected to fall as either snow or a mix of rain and snow, depending on local conditions.

“It’s crucial for everyone to stay updated as conditions can change rapidly,” said Emmy-award winning Meteorologist Kim Adams, who rejoined the 4Warn Weather Team in August 2022. “Make sure to download our free 4Warn Weather app for instant updates.”

The app is available for both iPhones and Android devices by searching for WDIV in the app store.

As the rain moves in midweek, temperatures will dip back to the upper 30s to low 40s by Thursday, with another potential rain/snow mix returning this weekend. Viewers are encouraged to tune in for updates during the 4, 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. newscasts.

Overall, the forecast promises a mix of weather conditions, which could impact daily activities across the region.
