Henry Cejudo Mma Fight Announcement

Las Vegas, NV – Former two-division champion Henry Cejudo is set to make his comeback in the UFC when he faces rising star Payton Talbott in a bantamweight bout on Dec. 6. UFC President Dana White announced the match-up on Monday.

This fight will take place at the T-Mobile Arena and marks the first competition for Cejudo since he retired after a loss three fights ago. Cejudo, who holds a professional record of 16 wins and 5 losses and is 10-5 in the UFC, last fought in May 2020 when he defended his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz.

After that victory, Cejudo stepped away from the octagon, resulting in nearly three years on the sidelines. Now, he aims to reclaim his status in the sport as Talbott, who has a record of 10 wins and 1 loss with 4-1 in the UFC, looks to build a winning streak.

Talbott recently impressed fans with a victory on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023, becoming one of the most talked-about prospects in the UFC. He quickly made a name for himself by finishing off his first three opponents in the octagon.

The bout is anticipated to be a pivotal moment for both fighters, as they are at different stages in their careers and both hope to add to their legacies. The current lineup for UFC 323 is still being finalized with fans eagerly awaiting further announcements.
