Al-Hilal Pursues Theo Hernandez with Record Contract Offer

UDINE, ITALY – May 31, 2025 – Al-Hilal is reportedly ready to offer a record contract to AC Milan full-back Theo Hernandez, who is free to find a new club following the appointment of Massimiliano Allegri as head coach.
Hernandez will enter the final year of his contract during the 2025-26 season, leaving AC Milan with the options to sell him this summer, extend his contract, or risk losing him for free next year. Recent reports indicate that negotiations for a new contract have stalled, and Milan is unlikely to reach an agreement.
Currently, Hernandez earns around €4 million per season at Milan but is seeking between €7 million and €8 million for an extension. Al-Hilal is prepared to offer him an impressive €18 million annually, which is 4.5 times his current salary.
In addition to the lucrative contract, the Saudi Pro League club is reportedly willing to pay a transfer fee of around €20 million for Hernandez, although this figure has not yet persuaded Milan or the player.
Milan is concerned about the financial implications, believing they could secure a higher transfer fee for Hernandez’s sale. The player himself remains unsure about moving to Al-Hilal and is expected to weigh other options before making a decision this summer.
Having signed with Milan in 2019, Hernandez has made significant contributions, scoring 34 goals and assisting on 45 occasions in 262 appearances. His current contract needs resolution soon, especially with the FIFA Club World Cup beginning on June 14.
