Houston Texans Unveil Fan-Inspired Uniforms Inspired by City Iconography
The Houston Texans have unveiled a new set of uniforms, drawing inspiration from the vibrant city of Houston. The uniforms, which were revealed for the first time since the team’s inception, were crafted with direct input from fans, reflecting their desires for a fresh look and feel. This initiative was spearheaded by Cal McNair, the Chair and CEO of the Houston Texans, who emphasized the importance of evolving fearlessly.
The new uniforms feature a range of colors, including the updated Deep Steel Blue, Battle Red, and the newly introduced H-Town Blue. These colors pay homage to the team’s history while also embracing modern trends and aesthetics. The uniforms aim to capture the essence of Houston’s diverse culture and iconic imagery, symbolizing a deep connection between the team and the city.
Among the new uniforms is the classic home uniform, characterized by the timeless Deep Steel Blue color and a nod to the team’s original look from 2000. The Liberty White away uniform blends tradition with contemporary design elements, showcasing a sleek sleeve stripe that transitions into a bullhorn-inspired motif.
The alternate uniform, known as the Battle Red version, offers a bold and dynamic style that complements the team’s traditional colors. Sporting a striking red helmet with chrome accents and unique logos, this uniform is a standout addition to the Texans’ lineup. Additionally, the Color Rush uniform introduces H-Town Blue as an official accent color, marking a historic moment for the team.
To commemorate this milestone, the Texans are hosting a private release party, sponsored by Houston Area Ford Dealers, to celebrate with fans and stakeholders. The team has also organized various events across the city, inviting the community to participate in the excitement surrounding the new uniforms. From NRG Stadium to local venues, the spirit of the Houston Texans is resonating throughout H-Town.
