Huracán Acquires 50% of Juan Bisanz Amid Debt Settlements

Buenos Aires, Argentina – The Argentine soccer club Huracán has acquired 50% of the player Juan Bisanz from Banfield as of June 18, 2025. The move comes as part of a complex deal that resolves ongoing debts linked to former player Leandro Garate.
Huracán successfully negotiated this acquisition to compensate for a portion of the pending fees related to Garate’s loan while also dropping significant legal claims against Banfield. These claims were estimated at $1.4 million USD and 63 million pesos due to Garate’s premature contract termination in April 2025, despite it being valid until December 2025.
“With this transaction, we clear all debts associated with Garate and secure a stable financial future for the club,” said a spokesperson from Huracán. “This is part of our approach to resolving issues constructively instead of postponing them.”
Banfield had an outstanding debt of 85 million pesos owed to Huracán from Garate’s loan, which will now be settled. The importance of this agreement is underscored by both clubs’ desire to avoid lengthy legal battles that could arise from the financial disagreements.
Huracán made the move official ahead of their participation in the upcoming Torneo Clausura and Copa Sudamericana, marking Bisanz as a crucial addition to their roster. This period has been challenging for Bisanz, who had not scored during his last ten appearances with Banfield and faced significant injuries prior.
“I am excited to join Huracán and put the past behind me,” Bisanz stated at his introductory press conference. He aims to build on his career successes and contribute significantly to his new team’s efforts this season.
