Icons of British Fashion Exhibition at Blenheim Palace Featuring Legendary Designers
The Fashion Museum in Bath has struck a significant collaboration with Blenheim Palace, introducing a wide array of revered designer pieces in the palace’s grandest exhibition yet.
Every year, the Fashion Museum picks a ‘Dress of the Year’, with this year’s collection featuring designs from industry icons like Jean Muir, John Galliano, and Dame Vivienne Westwood.
The exhibition includes iconic pieces such as Jean Muir’s 1979 black silk jersey dress and tailored leather jacket, Manolo Blahnik shoes, John Galliano’s winning dresses from 1987 and 1994, as well as Dame Vivienne Westwood’s 2010 pale green ribbed shot silk dress.
In addition to these, the exhibition will showcase 29 iconic Rootstein mannequins and various designs from designers like Barbour, Bruce Oldfield, Lulu Guinness, and many more.
The tribute to these British fashion icons will be spread across the rooms of the centuries-old Blenheim Palace, a location known for its historic and stylish ambiance.
Kate Ballenger, the keeper of palace and collections at Blenheim Palace, expressed great privilege in partnering with the Fashion Museum Bath, gathering these world-class pieces for an unforgettable exhibition.
