INDIANAPOLIS (April 18, 2025) — The Indiana Fever announced today they have exercised the fourth-year option on forward Aliyah Boston’s rookie contract, ensuring she will remain with the team through the 2026 season.

Boston was the first overall pick in the 2023 WNBA Draft and has quickly established herself as a standout player. During her time with the Fever, she has averaged 14.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.2 blocks per game over her first two seasons. She was unanimously selected as the WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2023, becoming the first rookie to lead the league in field goal percentage at 57.8 percent.

“We are excited to announce the extension of Aliyah’s contract,” said Fever General Manager. “Her performance on the court has been exceptional, and she is a crucial part of our team’s future.”

In addition to her successful rookie season, Boston has earned WNBA All-Star honors in both of her professional years, solidifying her status among the league’s elite players. Last season, she played a significant role in leading the Fever to the WNBA playoffs for the first time in eight years, showcasing her ability to elevate the team’s performance.

“Making the playoffs was a huge accomplishment for us,” Boston stated. “I’m looking forward to continuing to grow with this team and help us achieve even more success in the years to come.”

The Fever will kick off the 2025 season on May 17 against the Seattle Storm, where fans will expect to see Boston take the court alongside her teammates, including last year’s Rookie of the Year, further strengthening the team’s competitive edge.
