Indy 500 Race Crowd Tickets

INDIANAPOLIS — Penske Entertainment officials announced Friday that they expect the Indy 500 grandstand tickets to sell out soon, possibly by the end of Monday’s practice.

Mark Miles, president and CEO of Penske Entertainment, and Doug Boles, president of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, shared this news ahead of the 109th running of the race set for May 25, 2025. More than 230,000 reserved grandstand tickets are available, but with only a small number left, a sellout seems imminent.

“This year, the greatest race on Earth will host one of its biggest and most memorable crowds in many decades,” Miles stated. “This is a terrific showcase for the IndyCar series and a great milestone to supercharge our relationship with Fox Sports.”

Boles added, “The sheer size and scale of this crowd is going to be massive and will offer an epic backdrop for the very first Indy 500 on Fox.”

General admission tickets will still be available for race viewing in the infield, and Snake Pit wristbands can be obtained with a general admission ticket. However, all grandstand seats and hospitality suites are expected to be completely filled.

In previous years, weather-related issues have impacted ticket sales. Last year, for example, a negative forecast prevented the race from reaching a sellout, leaving the venue just a few thousand short. However, as of now, ticket sales for this year are trending toward a sellout before qualifying weekend.

The excitement continues as cars practice and prepare for qualifying this weekend, with a grandstand sellout long anticipated. The Indy 500 has become a significant event in motorsports culture, drawing fans from all over. It promises to be a memorable spectacle as preparations progress.
