New Orleans Saints Vs Atlanta Falcons 2024

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara, dealing with hip and rib injuries, and wide receiver Chris Olave, who suffered a hamstring injury, are both expected to take the field on Sunday, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. The team confirmed that Kamara and Olave are officially active for the game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Kamara was a late addition to the injury report this week, after missing Wednesday’s practice due to his injuries. He participated on a limited basis in the following two practices and was listed as questionable for the game. Despite these setbacks, Kamara is anticipated to play in Atlanta.

Alvin Kamara has been a pivotal player for the Saints, who started the season with an impressive offensive performance. Currently, Kamara ranks fourth in the league for rushing yards, having accumulated 285 yards this season. Notably, he recorded 115 yards and three touchdowns during New Orleans’ Week 2 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Chris Olave, who became questionable following a hamstring strain incurred during a Friday practice, will also be available for the Week 4 contest. Thus far, Olave leads the team with 178 receiving yards from 12 receptions, with performances of 81 and 86 yards in the last two matchups.

The Saints, holding a 2-1 record, are set to face the Atlanta Falcons, who are at 1-2, with the game scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. Both teams aim to bolster their standings in the NFC South.

The Saints’ dynamic offense will look to revert to their form from the opening games, where Kamara’s contributions were complemented by his receiving capabilities, amassing 132 yards on 10 catches with an additional touchdown.
