Inter Miami Advances to Eastern Conference Final for First Time
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami CF has made history by reaching the Eastern Conference Final of the Audi 2025 MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time. This significant achievement comes after their decisive 4-0 victory over FC Cincinnati at TQL Stadium on Sunday.
The Herons will host New York City FC on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m. ET at Chase Stadium. The match, presented by Heineken, will determine which team continues their quest for the MLS Cup 2025.
Ticket sales for the conference final have already begun. Fans can purchase their seats starting tomorrow at noon ET, after an hour-long pre-sale period for those who sign up. Season Ticket Members have also received direct links for additional ticket purchases.
“Let’s rally behind the boys in their quest to lift the Eastern Conference trophy! It’s Miami Time,” said the club in a statement. The Herons are in excellent form, having dominated their previous rounds with strong performances.
Both teams reached this pivotal stage of the playoffs after winning their Round One Best-of-3 Series and the Eastern Conference Semifinals. If the match is tied after regulation, extra time will be played, followed by a penalty shootout if necessary.
During the playoffs, Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi has been particularly impressive, tallying six goals and six assists, setting a postseason goal-contribution record of twelve. Other key players include (5g/2a) and (1g/3a), who have played vital roles in Miami’s recent successes.
New York City FC has been strong on the road in the playoffs, defeating the Philadelphia Union, despite injuries to their key midfielder. Head coach Pascal Jansen’s squad is aiming for their third Conference Final appearance since 2021.
As the Eastern Conference Final approaches, fans are reminded of the long-standing rivalry between the two teams. Inter Miami and NYCFC will meet for the 15th time overall, with Miami undefeated against NYCFC this season.
All eyes will be on Chase Stadium as the historic match unfolds. The winner will move on to host the MLS Cup Final on December 6.
