Inter Miami Faces Vancouver Whitecaps in Champions Cup Semifinal Showdown

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Inter Miami CF will host Vancouver Whitecaps FC on Wednesday, April 30, for the decisive second leg of their semifinal series in the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup. The match is set to kick off at 8 p.m. ET at Chase Stadium.
Fans can still purchase tickets for this exciting match. For those attending, it’s advised to buy parking passes in advance to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, Inter Miami has teamed up with Brightline to offer convenient train and shuttle services from Fort Lauderdale to the stadium for all matches this season.
The first leg of the semifinal series, held last Thursday in Vancouver, ended with Inter Miami trailing the Whitecaps 2-0. Miami must now overcome this deficit to advance to the final. A win by three goals will secure their place, while any loss, draw, or a narrow win will see them eliminated.
If Inter Miami wins 2-0, the match will go to extra time. Similarly, should it remain tied after that period, a penalty shootout will determine who advances. The winner will face the victor of the series between Liga MX clubs Tigres UANL and Cruz Azul.
This is the first time Inter Miami has reached the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup. They advanced past Sporting Kansas City with a 4-1 aggregate score, defeated Cavalier FC 4-0 in the Round of 16, and narrowly beat LAFC 3-2 in the quarterfinals.
Captain Lionel Messi has been a standout performer for the team, currently ranking second among the tournament’s top scorers with five goals in six appearances. The Whitecaps, meanwhile, shut out three opponents to reach this stage, including a victory over C.F. Monterrey and Pumas UNAM.
Forward Brian White has also been pivotal for Vancouver, scoring four goals throughout the tournament and continuing his strong form with a tally in last week’s first leg. Vancouver recently recorded a 3-1 win against Minnesota United FC in their regular MLS season.
As the final stages of the tournament approach, both teams understand the high stakes involved. “This is a very important game for us, one of the most important in the history of the club,” Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano stated, emphasizing the need for a strong performance.
