Inter Milan to field strong lineup against Monza
Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi is set to field a strong lineup for their upcoming match against Monza. The match will take place at the U-Power Stadium, and kickoff is scheduled for 19:45 GMT.
Despite recent struggles, Inter Milan remains at the top of the table as the current Winter Champions. Inzaghi is keen to maintain their position and build momentum ahead of the Supercoppa Italiana next week. As a result, he has opted for minimal squad rotation and will be utilizing his strongest XI.
The lineup will include key players such as Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, and Federico Dimarco. Dimarco is making a return to the left flank, while Stefan de Vrij and Benjamin Pavard will anchor the defense. Tajon Buchanan, a recent signing, will be on the bench for the first time.
Monza, although not as formidable as their debut Serie A season, have managed to hold strong against some tough opposition. They recently secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Frosinone and held Lazio to a draw. For the match against Inter Milan, Monza will have to contend with several absentees, including goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio who is out with a knee injury.
This match will also see the reunion of former Inter Milan players Danilo D’Ambrosio and Roberto Gagliardini, who now play for Monza. Another notable player is Valentin Carboni, who is currently on loan from the Inter Milan youth academy and has been in impressive form with two goals and three assists in 12 Serie A appearances.
