Invermen Prepare For St Patrick's Day Showdown Against Glenavon

The Invermen are gearing up for a thrilling St Patrick’s Day showdown as they prepare to face off against Glenavon in the Sports Direct Premiership. With the match set to take place at Inver Park, both teams are eager to secure a vital victory.

As part of the St Patrick’s Day festivities, Antrim Coast Dance Academy will dazzle the crowd with a lively performance before kick-off. Fans can also enjoy a range of activities in the main carpark, including the popular Teqball tables and an inflatable penalty shoot-out challenge.

Additionally, a new ‘kids corner’ will be launched at 1889 Sports & Social Club, offering young supporters a chance to engage in pre-match fun such as face painting, sign-making, and gaming stations.

After the game, fans can head to the club for post-match entertainment, where they can watch Ireland’s Six Nations clash against Scotland. Live music by Luke O’Loan and David Walker will further elevate the St Patrick’s Day celebrations in a red and white fashion.

Due to limited space, parking at Inver Park will not be available for supporters. However, alternative parking facilities at First Larne Presbyterian Church, Laharna Retail Park, and Riverdale will be open for convenience.

In the Club Superstore, fans can explore a range of merchandise, including the latest Nike 23/24 season collection and 1889 casual wear.

The Inver Reds, currently at the top of the Sports Direct Premiership standings, are on an impressive unbeaten streak since September. Coach Tiernan Lynch’s side will look to maintain their form and secure three points against Glenavon.

Glenavon, buoyed by a convincing 4-0 win over Dungannon Swifts, are determined to stay in the race for a top-six finish. With teams like Coleraine, Loughgall, Carrick Rangers, and themselves vying for the coveted position, Glenavon will aim to avenge their previous 5-0 loss to Larne.
