Iowa State Vs Kansas Basketball 2024 Hilton Coliseum

AMES, Iowa — The No. 2-ranked Iowa State Cyclones (14-1, 4-0 Big 12) will host the Kansas Jayhawks (12-3, 3-1 Big 12) in a pivotal Big 12 Conference matchup Wednesday at Hilton Coliseum. The game tips off at 6 p.m. CT and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

Iowa State enters the contest riding high after a dramatic 85-84 overtime victory at Texas Tech on Saturday. The Cyclones have won four straight conference games and are undefeated in Big 12 play this season. Kansas, meanwhile, is on a three-game winning streak, including a 54-40 road win at Cincinnati last weekend.

“This is exactly the kind of challenge we need to keep growing as a team,” said Iowa State head coach T.J. Otzelberger. “Kansas is always one of the toughest opponents in the conference, and we’re excited to compete in front of our home crowd.”

The game marks the first meeting between the two programs this season. Iowa State leads the all-time series 14-13, but Kansas has won seven of the last 10 matchups. Last season, the teams split their two games, with each winning on their home court.

Fans can stream the game on ESPN+ or through the ESPN app, both of which offer free trials for new subscribers. Tickets for the sold-out game are being resold at premium prices, reflecting the high stakes of the matchup.

With both teams vying for position atop the Big 12 standings, Wednesday’s game could have significant implications for the conference title race. Iowa State currently sits in first place, while Kansas is tied for second.
