Iowa Vs Purdue Basketball Game Carver Hawkeye Arena

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Iowa Hawkeyes men’s basketball team (13-8, 4-6 Big Ten) will face off against the Purdue Boilermakers (17-5, 9-2) in a pivotal Big Ten Conference matchup Tuesday night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The game tips off at 6 p.m. CT and will be streamed live online.

Head coach Fran McCaffery‘s squad is looking to rebound after a challenging stretch in conference play. The Hawkeyes, currently sitting at 4-6 in the Big Ten, face a tough opponent in Purdue, which leads the conference with a 9-2 record.

“Every game in the Big Ten is a battle,” McCaffery said in a pregame press conference. “Purdue is one of the best teams in the country, and we’ll need to bring our best effort to compete.”

The Boilermakers, led by standout center Zach Edey, have been dominant this season, ranking among the top teams nationally in both offensive and defensive efficiency. Iowa, meanwhile, will rely on its high-powered offense, which ranks in the top 20 nationally in scoring.

This marks the first meeting between the two teams this season. Last year, Purdue swept the series, winning both games by double digits. However, Iowa has historically played well at home, boasting a 10-2 record at Carver-Hawkeye Arena this season.

Fans unable to attend the game can stream it online through a subscription service. The matchup is not scheduled for traditional television broadcast.
