Young cricketer Ayush Badoni, representing Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing Indian Premier League season, showcased his remarkable skills by bailing his team out of a precarious situation during a recent match. Batting lower down the order, Badoni displayed remarkable maturity and composure to steer his team to a competitive total.

Entering the crease with Lucknow Super Giants reeling at 66 for the loss of four wickets, the responsibility was on Ayush Badoni to guide his side out of trouble. Teaming up with the vice-captain Nicholas Pooran, Badoni orchestrated a brilliant partnership, scoring a vital 55 runs off 30 deliveries.

The Delhi-born cricketer initially took his time to settle in but quickly shifted gears to put the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers on the back foot. Badoni’s innings, laced with nine boundaries, not only rescued his team but also showcased his ability to accelerate when needed.

A part of the Lucknow Super Giants squad since their inaugural IPL 2022 campaign, Ayush Badoni has been a consistent performer. Acquired for Rs 20 lakhs at the IPL 2022 mega auction, the skilled right-handed batter has amassed 606 runs in 40 matches, sporting a commendable strike rate of 133.48.
