Ipswich Town and Watford played out a goalless draw in a high-stakes Championship clash at Portman Road as their promotion battle heats up.

Kieran McKenna‘s Ipswich side, currently battling for a spot in the Premier League, faced off against Tom Cleverley‘s Watford in a tense encounter.

The Tractor Boys extended their unbeaten home record to 19 games but missed several key chances, including Nathan Broadhead hitting the post and Kieffer Moore being denied in a thrilling first half.

Watford’s goalkeeper, Daniel Bachmann, made crucial saves, while the Hornets showed a solid defensive display throughout the match.

Despite improving in the second half, Watford could not break the deadlock but left Portman Road with a hard-earned point.

Both managers, Kieran McKenna and Tom Cleverley, praised their respective teams’ performances and determination in the critical promotion run-in.

The draw means Ipswich remains in the hunt for a top spot in the Championship, while Watford continues their positive run under interim boss Cleverley.
