Alabama Vs Auburn Iron Bowl 2025

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference has announced that the 90th Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CST on Saturday, November 29, at Jordan-Hare Stadium. This year’s matchup will mark the first night Iron Bowl since 2014.

Auburn is looking to play spoiler against Alabama’s hopes for a College Football Playoff appearance. If the Tigers defeat Mercer this weekend, they will enter the Iron Bowl with a record of five wins, providing them a chance for bowl eligibility.

Interim coach DJ Durkin leads Auburn, which has faced Alabama on home turf for three straight years as the underdog. The last two meetings resulted in narrow losses for the Tigers; they fell in four overtimes in 2021 and were edged out after a fourth-and-31 touchdown by Alabama in 2023.

The stakes are high for Alabama, which is fresh off a 23-21 loss to Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide, currently at 8-2 and 6-1 in the SEC, cannot afford further losses if they wish to secure a spot in the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff.

Both teams have a storied history in this rivalry, with Alabama having won the last five Iron Bowls since 2019. Auburn’s last victory in the series was also at Jordan-Hare Stadium, a thrilling 48-45 win that ended Alabama’s playoff hopes at that time.

This Iron Bowl will take place under the lights, igniting anticipation among fans and players alike, as both teams prepare for what is sure to be a contentious and high-stakes battle.
