UC Irvine Dominates UC Davis in 88-59 Blowout Victory

DAVIS, Calif. (AP) — Myles Che scored 31 points as the UC Irvine Anteaters secured a decisive 88-59 victory over the UC Davis Aggies on Thursday night in a Big West Conference matchup.
Che was exceptionally efficient, shooting 10 for 11 from the field, including 3 for 3 from beyond the arc, and 8 for 9 from the free-throw line. The Anteaters improved their season record to 26-5 overall and 16-3 in conference play.
Joining Che in the scoring effort, Devin Tillis contributed 15 points on 6 of 8 shooting, and grabbed seven rebounds. Bent Leuchten also added a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Leuchten shot 3 of 10 from the field and effectively capitalized at the line, where he went 7 for 8.
For UC Davis (15-15, 9-10 Big West), the leading scorer was Cole Brown, who finished with 24 points, complemented by two steals. Teammate Jalen Jones added nine points, while Sam Scholl had eight.
The game witnessed a strong turnout, with an attendance of 2,472 fans at the University Credit Union Center. The Anteaters’ victory maintained their stronghold in the Big West standings as they approach the postseason.
Both teams will be back in action on Saturday, with UC Irvine set to face off against UC Santa Barbara, while UC Davis will host UC San Diego.
