Islamic Cleric Warns Muslims Against Indulging in Prohibited Activities During Sallah Celebration
Muslims in the country have been cautioned against partaking in social activities contrary to Islamic teachings during the upcoming Sallah festivities.
An esteemed Islamic scholar, Mallam Musa Bello, issued this admonition on Wednesday from the prestigious Gadumo praying ground located in Kogi State.
Bello emphasized that the rigorous 30-day fasting experience of Ramadan is intended to fortify the faith of Muslims in the fundamental principles of Islam. He stressed that individuals should leverage the spiritual enlightenment gained during Ramadan to enrich their everyday interactions with society, fostering harmony.
He disapproved of the behavior exhibited by certain Muslims who, post-prayer sessions, frequent bars and engage in alcohol consumption, deeming such actions as contrary to the tenets of Islam.
Bello urged individuals accustomed to prolonged prayer and Quran recitations at mosques while also exploiting others financially to reconsider their practices. He advocated for embracing productive economic endeavors to support their families.
The cleric concluded by offering prayers for peace to prevail in Kogi State and across Nigeria as a whole.
