Jaden Smith’s ‘Vampire Castle’ Hat Steals Spotlight at 2025 Grammys
LOS ANGELES, Calif. — Jaden Smith turned heads at the 2025 Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 2, with a striking headpiece shaped like a multi-story Transylvanian castle. The 26-year-old actor and rapper paired the avant-garde accessory with a classic black Louis Vuitton tuxedo, creating a bold fashion statement at the Crypto.com Arena.
The unique hat, designed by ABODI Transylvania in collaboration with artist Szilveszter Makó, drew immediate attention. Inspired by Transylvanian history and vampire legends, the piece features intricate details, including spires and windows, with a hole cut out for Smith’s face. Dora Abodi, the brand’s founder, described the design as a “symbol of audacity, fortitude, and an embrace of folklore and legends.”
Smith’s mother, Jada Pinkett Smith, shared her enthusiasm for the look on Instagram, posting a photo of Jaden and his sister Willow, 24, in their coordinated black ensembles. “!Period!” she captioned the image, prompting praise from celebrities like Lena Waithe and Chrissy Teigen. However, some fans were left puzzled, with one Instagram user commenting, “What’s the house for? Serious question.”
Willow Smith also made a fashion statement, wearing a crystal-embellished bra and hot pants by Fleur du mal, paired with a tailored coat from McQueen‘s Autumn Winter 2024 collection. The siblings attended the event to support their father, Will Smith, who was a presenter at the awards ceremony.
The Recording Academy announced Will Smith as a presenter on Jan. 31, alongside other notable figures. The Smith family, known for their close-knit bond, recently celebrated together during the holidays, with Jaden, Willow, and their older brother Trey in attendance.
Jaden’s headpiece has sparked comparisons to Willem Dafoe‘s viral 2023 look, with some social media users speculating about the inspiration behind the design. ABODI Transylvania emphasized the hat’s role as a medium for creativity and playfulness, calling Jaden “brave & bold” for bringing the piece to life.
The 2025 Grammys, broadcast live from Los Angeles, showcased not only musical talent but also unforgettable fashion moments, with Jaden Smith’s castle hat leading the conversation.
