Chuma Edoga Jacksonville Jaguars Signing News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced a two-year contract with veteran offensive tackle Chuma Edoga, strengthening their offensive line ahead of the 2025 NFL season. The deal was reported on March 10, 2025, just as the league’s free agency period began.

Edoga, who played the last two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, has shown versatility by lining up at both tackle and guard positions. In 2024, he contributed significantly by starting at left tackle, notably sharing snaps with Tyler Guyton due to an injury.

After overcoming a toe injury that hindered him at the beginning of the previous season, Edoga made a comeback, starting in four games and becoming a reliable asset on the Cowboys’ offensive line. Former Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy highlighted Edoga’s importance in the unit, stating, “He became a key piece of our offensive line as the season progressed.”

Edoga entered the NFL as a third-round selection by the New York Jets in the 2019 draft. After three seasons with the Jets, he had a brief stint with the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 before joining the Cowboys, where he solidified his role amid injuries to key teammates.

The Jaguars are excited about the signing, believing Edoga could enhance their offensive line cohesion and performance. Jaguars management is optimistic that his experience and adaptability will be assets as they build towards a competitive season.

With free agency officially opening, teams are acting swiftly to secure key players. Other notable moves include the signing of Dyami Brown, a wide receiver previously with the Commanders, to a one-year contract.

As franchises navigate their roster changes, Edoga’s addition signals the Jaguars’ commitment to improving their offensive threats in the upcoming season.
